About us
Founded in Funabashi, Chiba in 1987, Yakigaya Zouen designs and builds gardens and exteriors. We keep the trees, stones and materials already on site whenever we can, and plan gardens that are kind to both the environment and your budget.
Our craft is rooted in the Japanese and Western garden traditions our second-generation master learned at Kitagawa Zouen in Kojimachi, Tokyo — from entrance gates and carports to tea gardens, koi ponds and wooden decks. No two gardens are alike, so we always begin by listening.

Eight Garden
Our garden cafe and showroom in Kamagaya. Enjoy lunch or cake under timber beams or on the green terrace, browse plants and garden supplies, or join a container-planting class.
